Back in 2004, 4 women got together and decided they

wanted to walk the SGK Arizona 3-DAY 60 mile walk to raise
funds to help find a cure for breast cancer and hence, created
a fabulous team with a passion to make a difference.

Co-founder of the team, Linda Kacmarsky, walked the event for
the next seven years in Arizona and brought awareness to the
forefront. Under her leadership, along with over 300 team
members during that time, this incredible group of walkers, crew members, volunteers, families, friends, sponsors and more, it was announced in August 2010 that they raised over $1,000,000 to help fight breast cancer.

One special fundraising event that Linda spearheaded was the
Ironwood Walk at Anthem Country Club in Anthem, AZ, which began back in 2001 and became a community event that was
embraced by communities everywhere around the greater
Phoenix area. At the event in October 2010, Linda announced that she was 10 years breast cancer free with so much gusto, her good news fueled the event. But little do we know what goes on inside our bodies and in December 2010 the ugly 'C' had attacked Linda and she passed away with her husband and friends by her side.

Linda's desire was to make a difference and we continue to follow her passion and help those she would have.

2011 brought on a new challenge but with Linda's tenacity and
legacy on our minds, the Ironwood Walk was renamed "Linda's
W.I.S.H."and focused on the same determination those 4 women
had back in 2004. 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 were very
successful events and now it is our goal to not only raise funds
for HonorHealth, formerly John C. Lincoln Breast Health & Research Center but create a 'wellness event' in an effort to take care of our 'health' now... this moment... this time and help those who can't help themselves. We honor those who have fought the fight and lost, and those who are fighting now...
